GWANGJU Korea Masters 2018 History & Historical Results

The Korea Masters is a HSBC World Tour Super 300 tournament and is one of two HSBC BWF World Tour tournaments hosted in Korea annually, the other being the Korea Open, a HSBC BWF World Tour Super 500 tournament.  

Held since 2007, the first four editions were an International Challenge level tournament structure tournament and there were hosted in different venue annually.  

The Korea Masters was upgraded to a BWF Grand Prix tournament in 2010 then upgraded again as the Grand Prix Gold tournament in the following year. Since then, the tournament was held in the southwest cities of Korea.  

The tournament is a popular international tournament and Koreans have won many of the titles since 2007, providing a platform to showcase local talent on the international stage.
